MORE than 60 DJs and producers will jam out at this year’s Jurassic Dance Festival. 

The weekend event, held on August 16 to 18 at Wilkswood Farm in Swanage, promises house, disco, garage, drum’n’bass, trance and old school rave. 

Pioneering DJ Judge Jules will headline the inaugural festival supported by a around 60 other acts across two stages, including David Penn, Tall Paul, Wh0, K-Klass, Slipmatt, Brandon Block and Ed Case.  

The festival will host three days of classic dance vibes plus three nights of camping in the countryside setting right on the Jurassic Coast.  

Last year's event had to be postponed due to licensing authorities being unable to process the application in time but this year's festival has now got the official nod and is forging ahead. 

A spokesperson for the festival said: “The family-friendly festival will invite mums and dads ready to revisit the club sounds of their youth in a safe, relaxed and welcoming setting in the heart of the Purbeck countryside.  

“With capacity limited to 1,000, the festival will be a more relaxed, calmer environment than other larger events, aiming to encourage both dance-addicted teens and ex-clubbing parents to bring their kids to see how they did things in the old days.  

“With a kid's zone and lots of activities for children over the course of the weekend, including DJ and dance workshops, mum and dad should be free to let their hair down just like they did back in the day.” 

Adult weekend tickets are £99 and include full access to the main dance arena from Friday to Sunday, three nights camping and free parking for the weekend.  

Under 18s are £49 and under 3s are free. A family weekend bundle (two adult and two youth tickets) is available for £249.
