THE SUN shone brightly as some 500 scouts attended their annual parade at Poole Quay.
Residents watched as the marching band kicked things off as they drummed in the high street and along the quay.
The parade began at Poole Lifting Bridge at 2pm on April 21 and saw many groups of scouts taking part including Squirrel Scouts, Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Network Scouts, and their adult volunteers.
Children of all ages smiled as they marched in uniform to the old lifeboat station to renew their promises.
The Saints Day is held on April 23 and celebrated nationwide by scouts.
Ragen, District Commissioner for Poole Scouts was overjoyed at the turnout, he said: “It's just amazing to see so many young people and the weather was brilliant.
“Being a scout instils good values into young people and gives them skills for life.
Scouting continues to grow in Poole with numbers greater than before the pandemic.
Ragen added: "It's great to see all the young people proud to be in their uniforms.
"However this wouldn't be possible without the adult volunteers".
Bournemouth Scouts also held their annual parade at 12.30, marching from Butchers Coppice Scout Camp which also featured a promise ceremony and parade.
