SOME of Dorset’s most talented young performers will be setting the stage in Poole, including Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists.
More than 140 students from Poole’s Steppin’ Out Academy of Performance will be starring in ‘Step Back in Time’ at the Lighthouse Poole on April 27.
The cast includes 2023 BGT semi-finalists, Miles and Austin from BoyCanto, who live in Wimborne.
The pair will feature alongside Alfie Fitzpatrick, age 16 as ‘Theodore’, Lottie Serle age 18 as ‘Erica’, Jess Van Hoof age 18 as ‘Iza’ and Mia Roadnight age 14 as ‘Maggie’.
This West End-standard production features popular numbers from across the decades as a group of young people go back in time thanks to a time machine.
Some of the talented students involved in the show have also been chosen to represent England at the World Dance Cup in Prague this June.
Steppin’ Out’s principal, Angela Taylor, said: “We’re now in our 33rd year and this show promises to be the best one yet.
"I've always felt it was important to give our students a true West End experience and we have industry experts who help us with the staging, acting and singing.
“Some of our former students are now treading the boards on the West End and there are young people in this production who will see their name in lights in the future, of that I am sure.
“If you love musicals, you will love this show. And you might even say ‘I remember seeing that person before they were famous’.”
Tickets are available for both the matinee and evening performances on the Lighthouse Poole’s website.
