A LEISURE centre will be temporarily closed for works.
The Littledown Centre, including its café, bar and outdoor sports facilities, will be temporarily closed from 1pm on Wednesday, May 8.
The centre is shutting to carry out repairs to a damaged water main in Littledown Park, close to the premises.
Additional work is required, meaning the main water to the centre has to be shut off temporarily.
All of the centre’s facilities, including the outdoor training pitches and Lookout at Littledown, are closed.
Lessons, sessions, classes and activities at Littledown Centre have also been cancelled.
A spokesperson for BH Live Active said: “If you have booked activities, sessions, appointments, lessons and classes that are affected by the temporary closure, you will be updated about your options once the centre has reopened.
“As soon as we have had confirmation about the centre reopening, we will post an update online at bhliveactive.org.uk via the BH Live Active app and Littledown Centre’s Facebook page.”
The main car park at Littledown Centre remains open as usual for permit holders.
On behalf of the centre, Rob Cunningham, Director of Leisure and Business Development said:
“A big thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding while repairs to a nearby damaged water main were carried out.
“We have been advised that we can reopen the centre, as usual, tomorrow morning, Thursday, May 9, 2024, and all activities are expected to resume as scheduled.
If customers have any questions, please come and speak with the team in centre once it has reopened.”
