FIREFIGHTERS were called to a smouldering van near Cranborne that was believed to have been burnt overnight.
Crews from Hampshire and Dorset, including Verwood, were called to Tidpit near Fordingbridge just after 10am on Monday morning, May 13.
Police first alerted the fire service to the stricken van in woodland off Old Cranbourne Road, which was left completely charred by the incident.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said its Verwood crew was called to the incident and left shortly after 11am.
A spokesman for Verwood fire station said: “Fortunately, the fire did not spread to the surrounding hedge.”
Hampshire Police and Hampshire’s fire service have both been contacted for more details.
