A DORSET business has been granted a Royal Warrant for its services to the King and Queen.
Barker Laundry & Dry Cleaning has received the King’s Warrant, a Royal Warrant of Appointment granted as a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the Royal Household.
The Buckingham Palace announcement follows a review of companies granted royal warrants by the Monarch when he was the Prince of Wales.
Barker Laundry & Dry Cleaning, based in Bournemouth, is one of 138 firms that were again given special status. Now, he is King, and he and his wife named seven others as holders.
Barker managing director Matthew Barker said: “We are extremely proud to receive this accolade from the Monarch. “We were awarded a Prince of Wales Royal Warrant back in 2015, and the announcement is brilliant news that will allow us to continue with our royal recognition.
“As ever, it’s a great thank you to all our staff for providing a consistently high quality of service.
“I’d like to offer my huge and sincere thanks to all the amazing team at Barker Laundry & Dry Cleaning.
“As a King’s Warrant Holder, we are looking forward to displaying the Royal Arms.”
