A TRIO of sporting legends will grace the stage of The Barn Ringwood over the next 12 months.
Ex-England footballer and World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst will kick off the three special events in November.
Sir Geoff is most well known for being a part of the 1966 World Cup winning team, netting a hattrick in the final as the Three Lions defeated West Germany.
He made his name playing for West Ham, making 499 league and cup appearances, scoring 248 goals, winning the FA Cup in 1964 and the European cup winners’ cup in 1965.
After he left the club, he played for Stoke City, appearing 100 times and scoring 30 goals, before joining West Brom for one year.
He will come to The Barn on Saturday, November 16.
Next, Ricky ‘the hitman’ Hatton will come to the theatre on Thursday, February 27.
Ricky, the fifth greatest boxer in British history, enjoyed a fantastic career between 1997 and 2012, winning the British light-welterweight title in 2000, before winning the WBU title the following year.
He made a record 15 successful defences of the title between 2011 and 2004.
Ricky defeated Kostya Tszyu in 2005 to win the IBF title and Carlos Maussa in 2006 to win the WBA title, becoming the unified light-welterweight world champion.
He ended his career with a record of 45 wins and three losses, with the event set to provide an insight into the world of a professional boxing career.
Finally, local legend Harry Redknapp will come to The Barn on Friday, March 14.
He will be telling stories from his football days and his time in the jungle, before an audience Q&A.
Sam Coombes, manager at The Barn, said: “We have been trying for some time to secure some sporting greats for our events calendar and here they are.
“It is particularly exciting to bring such a local hero in Harry Redknapp to Ringwood, and also an exclusive appearance from someone as successful as Ricky Hatton – we are beyond excited to welcome them next year.
“For each event meet and greet ticket options have been secured – but these tickets are limited so book soon to avoid disappointment.”
