THUNDERSTORMS and heavy rain could bring disruption to parts of Dorset, the Met Office has warned.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for parts of east, north and west Dorset and also the New Forest.
The warning is in force from 10am until 7pm on Sunday, May 26.
Around 15 to 25mm of rainfall could be seen in as little as two hours.
Areas included according to the Met Office are Blandford, Shaftesbury, Sturminster Newton, Gillingham, Verwood and Fordingbridge.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely to become organised into a band from southwest England to the south Midlands and parts of the Home Counties during late Sunday morning and into the afternoon.
“A few places may see 15-25 mm of rain in 1-2 hours from several showers moving over the same area, with a chance of 30-40 mm in one or two locations.”
The Met Office says driving conditions could be affected, flooding could occur and there is a “small chance” of power cuts and damage to buildings caused by lightning strikes.
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are not currently included in the warning area.
