THE WIFE of a woman who was stabbed to death attended the court hearing of 20-year-old man charged with murder and attempted murder.
Nasen Saadi, from Croydon, south London appeared in court on June 1 charged with the murder of Amie Gray and attempted murder of Leanne Miles on Durley Chine Beach.
Ms Gray's wife, Sian Gray, was seen attending the hearing at Poole Magistrates Court.
He dressed in grey sweatshirt and trousers, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
He gave no indication of plea to the two charges.
Ms Gray, 34, a women's football coach from Poole, Dorset, suffered multiple stab wounds in an attack on the beach at Durley Chine in Bournemouth at 11.42pm on May 24.
Despite efforts by paramedics she died at the scene at 12.24am on May 25.
Leanne Miles, aged 38 and also from Poole, was also stabbed and taken to hospital with serious injuries but was discharged six days later.
In a tribute to her wife, Sian Gray, said: “Words cannot describe the pain that we feel.
"Amie was the most loving wife and mother. Her giggly laugh and big smile will be hard to be without.
"A larger than life character. I will miss you immensely my love. To the moon and back, forever and always.”
“Thank you for all of the love and support shown and for respecting our privacy. It is a difficult time for everyone.”
The case was sent to Winchester Crown Court for a trial and preparation hearing on Tuesday and Saadi was remanded in custody due to the seriousness of the offences.
Saadi was arrested at an address in Croydon, south London, on Tuesday, May 28.
Detectives from Dorset Police obtained a court extension for further time to interview him before charging him with murder and attempted murder on Friday, May 31 evening.
Dorset Police have stated there will be 'enhanced' patrols going forward.
