A SHOP owner has spoken of her shock after Debbie McGee paid a surprise visit to her shop.
The assistant and widow of magician Paul Daniels popped into Boat House 27.
Helen Saunders, co-owner of the interiors shop, said McGee told her how much she liked Lymington.
Helen said: “We saw her walking along the other side of St Thomas Street then she came in to look around.
“We said hello and she asked about a couple of products.
“She was very happy and so friendly. She was wearing the most beautiful outfit, a very stylish and beautiful lady.
“Debbie was in our shop for around 10 minutes or so. I asked if we could have a photograph as my mum is a huge fan of Strictly.”
McGee competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 when she was partnered with professional Giovanni Pernice.
The pair reached the final of the BBC show.
But McGee is not the first celebrity to grace the shop floor of Boat House 27.
Helen said: “Other celebrities that have visited us and our adjoining shop Crystals Hardware are Kris Marshall, Dire Straits' John Illsley, Helen McGinn and the late Ken Russell.”
