TEAM members at a Blandford brewer have picked litter as part of its historic Founder’s Day.
Staff from several of Hall & Woodhouse’s pubs, including St Peter’s Finger in Lytchett Minster and Lulworth Cove Inn, took part to encourage cleaner communities.
Anthony Woodhouse, chairman of brewery founded in 1777, said: “At Hall & Woodhouse, community is at the centre of our purpose, and we continually look for ways to give back.
“Our annual Founder’s Day celebration is a great opportunity to come together as a team and the event always delivers a real sense of reward and pride.
“We started the annual litter pick 12 years ago and have contributed to keeping streets, beaches, and residential areas clean ever since.”
Each Founder’s Day, the Badger Brewery team release a special edition beer to celebrate. This year, the Teamwork Stingo ale commemorates two figures from the Woodhouse family.
Anthony added: “John and Edward Woodhouse were brothers who brought distinct yet complimentary skills to the important business of brewing characterful ales.
“My uncle John was head brewer and a director from 1952 until 1986 and grew the brewing output from 50,000 to over 300,000 barrels in that time.
“My father, Edward, was chairman for 26 years. His future focussed mindset modernised the business and set it on a solid foundation for generations to come."
