POOLE-based heating installer Huw Jenkins has been named the winner of the South West Heating Installer Awards 2024.

Huw specialises in plumbing and heating repairs and upgrades with his company Thornhill Plumbing and Heating.

His winning entry saw him take on a project for a young couple in need of radiator replacements in their bungalow.

Speaking on his win, Huw said: “The customer was so impressed with how thorough I was with the selection of the radiators that he asked if I could replace his whole heating and hot water system.

"Rather than just plan to remove everything, I had a good look through the system and wanted to see what parts could be repaired and what parts could be replaced.

"I’m pleased the judges recognised how much work went into creating this system, which ticks every single box.”

The nationwide awards scheme, now in its ninth year, recognises the achievements and raises the credibility of plumbers and heating installers across the country who deliver excellent customer service on a daily basis.

Representatives from the awards’ partners, alongside a team of previous winning installers, judged the entries on problem solving, product knowledge and stand out work.
