A NEW date has been announced for the return of a popular festival in Swanage.

The Swanage Fish and Food Festival was due to take place on June 15 and 16 before it was cancelled last minute due to the weather.

Now, a new date has been announced to allow traders to come together and sell their tackle and other items.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that we are back. We have new dates for 2024 and a new location.

“The Swanage Fish & Food Festival will return on 24th and 25th August and you will find us on Sandpit Field overlooking Swanage Beach and Bay.

“We would love you to join us for a second chance at showcasing the best in local produce, fish, food, drinks, and artwork.

"To enjoy delicious foods and watch expert chefs share their skills throughout the weekend.”

The weekend includes events such as foraging master classes, crabbing competitions, sea shanties, and mouth-watering seafood to enjoy.

The new dates for the Swanage Fish and Food Festival are August 24 and 25.
