HEAVY rain could bring disruption and flooding across Dorset, the Met Office has warned.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for heavy rain across Dorset on Monday, July 15.
As much as 15 to 20 mm of rain may fall in less than an hour, with a few places seeing up to 40 mm in 2 hours.
The warning will be in place until Tuesday, July 15, at 9am.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times with a risk of thunder, are expected to develop later on Monday afternoon then move northwards through the evening and overnight.
“15 to 20 mm rain may fall in less than an hour, with a few places seeing up to 40 mm in 2 hours but perhaps more widely within a longer period overnight.
“Where this occurs, there is the chance of some flooding and disruption.”
The Met Office has warned that there is a slight chance of power cuts, delays or cancellations to trains and bus services, and potentially some road closures.
