A MAN has been jailed and banned from entering Boscombe following a spate of thefts in Bournemouth.
Christopher Hoy, 37 and of Bournemouth, admitted to six counts of theft from a shop following incidents at the Boots store in Christchurch Road.
He stole goods to the value of £250 on May 3, goods to the value of £70 on May 20, goods to the value of £300 on May 24 and goods to the value of £130 on June 3.
He stole beauty products to the value of £165 on May 14 and beauty products to the value of £78 on May 18.
Hoy admitted to a seventh count of theft, relating to the theft of shampoo and hair serums to the value of £250 from Superdrug in Christchurch Road on July 1.
The defendant was sentenced at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 17.
He was jailed for 16 weeks and handed a two year long criminal behaviour order because of his ‘record of previous offending’.
The order means he cannot enter the Boscombe Precinct, or any Boots or Co-op stores in Dorset.
