COASTGUARDS have rescued a drone pilot who got stuck on a cliff in Swanage.
The Swanage and St Albans coastguard teams were called out on Friday evening, July 19, to help the pilot who was stuck on a cliff near Ballar.
The pilot had been trying to retrieve two of his drones by climbing down the cliff on a rope, but was unable to get back up.
The coastguard teams set up their equipment to secure the male before recovering him and his two drones safely to the top of the cliff.
In a blog post following the incident, Swanage Coastguard Rescue Team said: “Whilst drones are expensive never put yourself in danger trying to recover a crashed one on a cliff.”
