WORKS to revamp a supermarket in Parkstone are planned to take place this autumn.
Waitrose is keen to complete the refurbishment at its store in Ashley Road between September and November.
As reported, Waitrose has submitted a planning application to BCP Council detailing the plans.
The works include expanding the café, installing new customer doors and refurbishing the shop façade.
Improvement works will also be carried out in the store’s car park, including the addition of pedestrian walkways to improve safety.
Now, Waitrose has submitted an application to the local authority requesting a minor variation to its premises licence.
Detailing the purpose of the application, Waitrose said: “To approve alterations to the filed ground floor retail plan, with the store undergoing a refit with works to take place between 16th September 2024 and November 2024.
"Alterations to include the installation of a new customer café, new service counters, along with the current fixed merchandising being updated and repositioned and to update the current manned and self-scanning tills.”
The application is yet to be determined and will remain open for public consultation until August 7.
Representations should be made in writing to BCP Council’s Licensing Team on or before this date.
