A NEW off licence could be coming to Boscombe – joining a burgeoning number of shops.
Cenk Yagmur, the owner of Oxxo convenience store has applied to open a new store in Christchurch Road.
Oxxo already has an off licence in Holdenhurst Road and sells food, drinks and tobacco products.
Mr Yagmur has applied to BCP Council’s licensing department to sell alcohol and open his new shop Monday to Friday between 7am and 11pm.
If agreed by BCP Council at a later unspecified date, Oxxo would join several other off licences along the stretch of road through Boscombe and into Pokesdown.
This includes Boscombe Convenience Store, Royal Boscombe Supermarket, Downtown Express, D&A Mini Market, Liya, Kubus European Market and Bos Zabka.
Comments on Oxxo can be made to BCP Council before August 28 when the consultation ends.
