A DEER was hospitalised after being involved in a crash on a busy Dorset Road.
Dorset Police Rural Crime Team were sent to one of the crashes where a deer had been hit.
A deer rescue team also attended to take the injured animal to hospital for treatment.
The incident took place on August 6.
The Moyles Court Wildlife Hospital revealed it dealt with over 3,000 animal emergencies in 2023.
A spokesperson for Moyles Court Wildlife Rescue said: “Several RTC deer emergencies.
“Thank you to both Hampshire and Dorset Police for their assistance with two rescues. Firstly to Hampshire Police for their help with stopping the traffic on the A338 whilst our experienced Deer Rescue Team attended the scene and recovered the deer.
“Fortunately we were advised that the driver of this vehicle was uninjured. Secondly thank you to Dorset Police who kindly rescued a roe deer and transported him directly to our hospital for treatment. We are grateful to you all.”
