The attacks happened after 6am on Thursday, August 1.
Edwin Deverill, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are investigating these two assaults and would like the public’s help to identify the second victim so we can take his account of what happened and provide support.
“I am appealing to anyone who recognises him from the description given to please get in touch. If you are the man involved – please come forward as we want to make sure you are OK.
“We understand this was a traumatic incident for the victim we have already spoken to and it has had a significant impact on their wellbeing.
