A LONG established newsagent in Christchurch has been sold.
Town Common News in Fairmile has been sold to experienced retail operator Nirooshan Yogarajah.
The sale was successfully completed by Goadsby Commercial, and included the shop, newspaper delivery rounds and a self-contained three bedroom flat above.
Goadsby said the new proprietor brings a 'wealth of experience within the retail industry' and currently operates a successful shop in Tuckton.
Nirooshan said: “We are excited to have the opportunity to serve the local community and build upon the stores excellent reputation.
"We have already made a few improvements to equipment and the layout of the shop to include new refrigerated units.
"Mark Nurse at Goadsby worked very hard to ensure that this sale was completed as smoothly as possible and we look forward to working with Goadsby again in the future”.
Mark Nurse from Goadsby said: “We are delighted to have overseen the sale of this busy store.
"We would like to wish Nirooshan the very best wishes for the future and have no doubt that he will prove very successful with his new business”.
