A ‘MIRACLE’ student has smashed her A-Level results despite taking years out of education and battling cerebral palsy.
Heather Rowe, 18, has beaten the odds at Brockenhurst College and surpassed her initial predicted grades of DDD with A*BB in criminology, psychology and sociology.
Jen Rowe, Heather’s mum, said her daughter is a “miracle” for achieving outstanding results despite her severe dyslexia, autism and cerebral palsy.

Heather was also out of education from year seven to 10 due to mental health struggles and was told she would not be able to achieve any GCSEs.
However, after joining The Stable School, Jen said one teacher saw Heather’s potential and helped her complete five GCSEs to get into Brockenhurst College.
“Since then she has just absolutely flown,” said Jen.
“She’s a real miracle because it is so easy to put kids with disabilities, or who have dyslexia or autism, down.”
She added: “She really proved that you can aim high and reach for it.”
Jen also praised the teacher that helped Heather with after-school sessions and one-to-one workshops.
“If you get one that is the right teacher for the right child, it can really change lives.”
Heather will now be heading to Portsmouth University to study forensic psychology, after achieving an unconditional offer.
“She’s really interested in the fact that a lot of young offenders are neurodivergent and are autistic or have other issues,” said Jen.
“So, she’s really interested in looking at how children with those conditions and depending on your opportunities in life you can have very different outcomes.”
