Echo reader David Gillam has shared a fascinating collection of photographs capturing Bournemouth's transformation in the 1950s.
Taken by his father, a carpenter working on various local construction projects, these images offer a unique glimpse into the town's development.
From Southampton Hospital to Purbeck and even the reconstruction of Blandford Camp,
David's father left his mark.
"He even worked on the construction of Winfrith Nuclear Research," David shared, "though photography was strictly prohibited there!"
