Bournemouth’s Winter Gardens was a beloved venue still missed by many.
Initially constructed in 1875 as a grand glass exhibition hall, it later transformed into a renowned classical music venue.
The original building, often compared to London’s Crystal Palace, hosted world-famous conductors and orchestras.
However, time marched on, and the venue was replaced in the 1930s.
The new Winter Gardens, while home to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, soon found its calling as a concert hall.
Its exceptional acoustics made it a cherished space for music lovers and attracted some of the world's biggest bands
Sadly, this iconic building was demolished in 2006, leaving a void in the town's cultural landscape.
While the physical structure is gone, its legacy as a vibrant hub for music and entertainment lives on in the memories of those who experienced its magic.
And these pictures will no doubt further work to jolt those wonderful recollections.
