NO date can be given for when temporary traffic lights that are causing long delays will be completed.
The two-way lights on the A35 past Bakers Arms Roundabout have been in place since August 16 when a damaged drain cover was first reported.
Traffic police officers helped to realign the drain but said that the temporary traffic lights needed to be installed to rectify the issue.
Openreach, the firm doing the work, has been asked when the roadworks will be finished but it did not provide a date.
A spokeswoman said: “One of our underground network box covers on the A35 near Foxhills Road is faulty and requires urgent repair.
“We have a traffic management in place to keep road users safe and complete the work. We like to thank everyone for their understanding while we make the carriageway safe again.”
Long queues have been seen in the area for nearly a week now, with it at its worse during evening rush hour eastbound when traffic is backed up to Slepe.
