I HAVE a lot of sympathy for the owners of the cafes in Poole Park.
We have lived in Lilliput for two years. In our first year, and until the Whitecliff gate closed, we would regularly drive through on impulse and park up for a walk and an ice cream or a drink.
Since the closure we haven’t been into the Park once.
It’s not deliberate, it’s just the way it is.
Purposefully driving all the way round to the other end to go into it just isn’t something we would do.
If they want the park used, then they need to provide as much access as possible. It’s common sense.
