A CARE home in Poole has celebrated National Dog Day.
Upton Bay was joined by ten dogs and their owners for a dog show on Monday, August 26.
The event featured twelve exciting categories, from ‘Best Dressed Costume’ to ‘Loveliest Lady’ and ‘Best Puppy’.
This biannual tradition at Upton Bay brought together familiar faces and new friends, with six dogs and their owners returning from previous shows, and four visiting the home for the first time.
Victoria Lombard, home services advisor, said: “We were thrilled to hear their positive feedback and see their enjoyment.
“It was a joy to see the creativity and spirit of each furry contestant, with special mentions to the winners Little Miss Wolf (Jenny the Terrier), Sky (the six month-old puppy), Poppy (the Black Retriever), Basil (the Goldendoodle), and Peggy (the beautiful black and white dog).”
The event was made even sweeter with homemade cakes by Chef Alain, enjoyed with cups of tea and coffee.
Additionally, a raffle raised £40 for the Caring Canines charity.
