A CHEESE festival is coming to Dorset next month.
The 2024 Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival is due to take place on September 14 and 15.
Festivalgoers will have the chance to sample and buy a wide variety of cheese, browse the many diverse craft exhibitors and sample excellent draft ales and speciality ciders.
Various caterers will be on hand offering Greek souvlaki, venison burgers, cheese toasties, tacos, sweet Spanish churros and more.
There will also be live music, plus entertainment for the children, with Punch & Judy and Strawberryjam Clown.
Tickets will be available on the day at £9 per adult but can be purchased in advance at a discounted rate.
Accompanied children under the age of 16 go free.
Anyone bringing a carer should buy their ticket from the Ticketsrv site and then contact treasurer@cheesefestival.co.uk for a complimentary ticket.
A spokesperson for the event said: “The festival is a great day out with something for everyone.
"It is a huge fundraiser for our local community – since 2012 it has generated over £400,000 for local charities – and with your support we hope to continue to make it even more successful.”
