A NEW fashion retailer and chain bookstore are set to open soon at a Bournemouth retail park.

Castlepoint will be welcoming Mango, an international fashion brand, for its first Dorset store.

Also opening will be Waterstones which temporarily closed to move to a new unit at the retail park.

Mango will be located in the former Waterstones site, next to Superdrug and the old Burton store.

Meanwhile, Waterstones will move into the former Clintons store, next to Three and Clarks.

Construction has begun for both stores but a set opening date is yet to be confirmed.

A spokesperson for Castlepoint said: “We can confirm both brands are on site and fitting out, and we continue to liaise with them on a confirmed opening date.

“We anticipate this will by late summer / early autumn.”

A spokesperson for Mango previously said: “Mango, one of Europe’s leading fashion groups, continues its international expansion plan in the United Kingdom with its first store in Bournemouth.

“Specifically, in Castlepoint, one of the largest shopping parks in the country.

“The new store, planned for late this year, will have a selling space of 500 m2 and stock products from the woman and kids lines.”
