A POPULAR high street bakery has teased an opening date for its new larger store in Bournemouth. 

The highly anticipated new store in Christchurch Road is rumoured to be opening within the next few weeks, Greggs has said.

Customers can soon treat themselves to go-to favourites including pizza, steak bakes and vegan alternatives.

Along with the new look is a ‘comfortable’ indoor seating area, open from 6.30am Monday to Saturday and 8am on Sunday.

A Greggs spokesperson said: "Greggs is due to open a new and improved shop in Bournemouth, relocating to a larger unit on Christchurch Road within the next few weeks. We will be able to share further details with you closer to the opening."

Months earlier, Daniel Carpenter, shop manager, said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop. 

“We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or click and collect.”

The new store replaces the former Topshop in Old Christchurch Road.
