A CAR crashed into fencing at a Homebase store in Poole.

Emergency services attended the incident at the Homebase store at Poole Retail Park, Branksome, on Saturday night, August 31.

Witnesses reported seeing police and firefighters on the scene at around 10pm.

The car has since been removed from the scene.

A temporary barrier has been put in place.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "We received a report at 9.02pm on Saturday 31 August 2024 of a two vehicle collision at Redlands in Poole.

"It was reported one of the vehicles had collided with a metal fence and damage was caused to a lamppost.

"There were no reports of any injuries.

"The local authority was notified due to damage to the lamppost, the vehicles were recovered and officers left the scene at around 11.30pm."

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to Pottery Junction, Redlands, Poole at 9.06pm on Saturday (31 August) following a two vehicle collision.

"One crew from Westbourne attended, thankfully no-one was trapped, so we made the scene safe and our stop was at 9.15pm."

A spokesperson for Homebase said on Sunday: "We’re still reviewing the damage caused by the crash."

The store was open as usual on Sunday.
