A NEW Flamingo Café Bar is coming to Ashley Cross – but the Winton branch will be closing.
Aviary Hospitality Group, owners of Flamingo Café Bars and Chicken & Blues, has announced the acquisition of Le Bateau in Ashley Cross.
The venue, which has traded as Le Bateau for more than 20 years, will be transformed into a brand-new Flamingo Café Bar, situated in a prime location adjacent to the Green.
Steve Crawford, co-founder, said: "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Flamingo’s all-day café bar experience to the bustling neighbourhood of Ashley Cross - an area that we are very familiar with, having had Chicken & Blues just down the road for approaching ten years. The team is excited to get going.”
Aviary Hospitality Group has also shared news about the original Flamingo location in Winton.
Joshua Simons, the company’s co-founder, said: “We must also announce that the lease at our Winton property has recently expired, and despite our best efforts, we have been unable to agree on new terms with the landlord.
"This is frustrating, as it has been such a popular location with locals and visitors to Winton over the last four years.
"As such, we want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the people of Winton for their support, and to our team for making Flamingo what it is today.
"We hope to welcome the many Winton regulars to our Flamingo café bars by the beach in Boscombe Spa, or indeed at Ashley Cross when it opens.”
Flamingo in Winton was first opened in May 2021, introducing its Miami-inspired all-day café bar concept.
