AN AWARD-WINNING and unique production of Pride and Prejudice with a twist is set to come to the Lighthouse Poole.
Pride & Prejudice (sort of) will take to the stage on November 18 for a week-long run as part of its 2024/ 2025 tour.
The new production is directed by Isobel McArthur, winner of the Evening Standard Award and the Olivier Award, which is said to be unprecedented for a young female writer to jointly win.
The show is a unique and audacious retelling of Jane Austen’s classic love story, where men, money and microphones will be fought over in this irreverent adaptation.
It features a string of pop classics including Young Hearts Run Free, Will You Love Me Tomorrow and You’re So Vain.
The production has received positive feedback including: “Totally deserves the standing ovations it’s getting nightly,” said The Daily Telegraph.
“Completely faithful to the book, it’s also a raucously irreverent romp,” said the Daily Mail.
Tickets and more information can be found on the Lighthouse Poole website.
