A POOLE pub offered free pints of Jeremy Clarkson's beer and cider to customers after installing it on tap.
Given a free keg from Jeremy Clarkson's brewery Hawkstone worth £500, the Bermuda Triangle in Ashley Cross gave customers free pints on September 5.
Part of a promotion by the brewery, the pub was chosen alongside seven others in the country with customers able to get a free pint by showing that they follow Hawkstone on Instagram.
Keith said: "Yesterday they selected seven pubs around the country and what they do is give you a free keg which is about 88 pints.
"We're very busy normally on a Thursday but it gave the opportunity to quite a lot of people to sample if they liked it."
Installed on tap six weeks ago, Bermuda Triangle general manager, Keither Darker, shared that the Hawkstone lager and cider has proved very popular among customers after Clarkson's Farm has helped it become well known.
Asked his thoughts on the beer, Keith seemed to be impartial to the lager and preferred the Hawkstone cider.
He said: "I tried it last night when I had a free one and I didn't like the large as much as I thought I might but it's different for different people.
"It's certainly popular with a lot of people who tried it. They do a cider and I much prefer it to be honest."
Hawkstone offers a variety of alcoholic drinks including an IPA and session lager.
Asked if they are tempted to introduce other Hawkstone lagers onto their taps, Keith commented that they would be keen to "experiment and try."
He said: "The two we've got for now are popular, whether this will wane or not, I don't know but he's got the TV which is masses of free publicity.
"It's evidence by the fact it seems to have grown so quickly."
According to the Hawkstone website, the brewery only offers their product in one other pub in Dorset.
Offered in 480 pubs across the UK, Bermuda Triangle was approached to ask if they would like to stock it and worked with a previous supplier to install it in their pub.
