A MAN in his 70s 'cried out for help' after two men attempted to forcefully remove a watch from his wrist in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received a report at around 3.20pm on Thursday, August 29, that two men had attempted to "prise a watch from the wrist of a man aged in his 70's" – who was walking in Grove Road.

When the victim cried out for help, the two men ran across the St Peter's Roundabout and down St Peter's Road.

Officers investigating the attempted robbery in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The male offenders were described as 'five feet eleven inches tall and of North African appearance'.

One of the men was wearing a white beanie hat with 'LV' written across it, and he had no teeth.

Police constable Zachary Dredge of Bournemouth police said: "We are carrying out enquiries into this incident, and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the offenders.

"I would also urge residents or motorists who were in the vicinity to please review any home CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage around the relevant timeframe to see if they have captured anything that might assist our investigation."
