A HUGE zombie knife was found on a man walking the streets of Bournemouth.
The town’s police officers said they came across a group of people who ran away from them before eventually finding them.
They said “weapons" and suspected cannabis was found, resulting in one man who is now “assisting officers with enquiries”.
Bournemouth police’s spokesman said: “Brilliant work from the officers who disrupted the suspicious activity and got more weapons off the streets.
“They will continue to actively patrol hotspot areas that have been identified.”
Last week, a zombie knife was also found abandoned in the toilets of Sainsbury’s in Pitwines Close, Poole town centre.
Meanwhile, Dorset Police is now offering compensation to people who surrender zombie knives and other weapons at police stations.
Dorset police and crime commissioner David Sidwick, said: “I strongly urge anyone in possession of one of these weapons to hand it over.
“Carrying a knife of any kind only puts you in more danger of getting seriously hurt or even killed.
“If you know someone who carries a knife of any description, please talk to them, and encourage them to surrender these weapons.
“They are only increasing their risk of getting injured or injuring someone else by taking a knife out with them.”
