A MAN has been summoned to court after a three-year-old boy was allegedly run over. 

Terence Edgar Wyatt, 62, was issued with a postal requisition for an offence of driving without due care and attention and was due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on July 16. 

Police were called to Talbot Primary School in Talbot Drive in Wallisdown during the school run on the morning of March 19. 

Multiple emergency services rushed to the scene, including police cars and an ambulance, where paramedics treated the boy for injuries.

The Ferndown resident, of Heath Farm Road, is alleged to have been driving the blue Toyota RAV4 on the day of the crash. 

Wyatt is next due to appear back in front of Weymouth’s magistrates on November 19. No plea was given at his first hearing.
