A GUN was found in a rucksack alongside drugs, and a baseball bat in Bournemouth.
Whilst on mobile patrol on Thursday, September 12, officers from Bournemouth North East NPT became aware of two men acting suspiciously.
As officers turned their patrol vehicle around, the two individuals fled from them, making off into the darkness.
Upon looking into a discarded rucksack, they discovered a C02-powered air pistol/revolver, a blue baseball bat, multiple bags of cannabis, and a machete sheath.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Officers continue to remove weapons from the streets with help from the local community.
“There is no place for these types of items within our communities and as such, all items have been seized.”
An investigation is still ongoing.
