A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of multiple offences after a high speed police chase ended with a car smashing into a brick wall.
Officers attempted to stop a BMW 520I on the A31 Westbound on September 13.
After failing to stop, officers pursued the vehicle until the driver made off on foot and was detained shortly after.
Significant damage was caused after the BMW crashed into the brick wall of a property.
A 28-year-old man from Uxbridge, Hillingdon was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, resisting a constable in the execution of their duty, drug driving, drink driving, driving without insurance, possession of cannabis, wrongful use of a disabled badge, assaulting police, criminal damage and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
He has been released on initial police bail until December 13 while further enquiries are carried out.
Hampshire Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, in particular anyone with dash-cam footage.
