AN opening date has been confirmed for two new beach saunas in Christchurch.
The new ‘Saltwater Sauna’ facility will officially open at Avon Beach on Monday, October 14.
It is set to offer an ‘authentic Finnish sauna experience’, with two contemporary Nordic saunas, spacious changing rooms and a drinking water tap.
Users can also enjoy panoramic views across to the Isle of Wight, and choose between private and communal sauna packages.
The Saltwater Sauna company already operates a successful sauna in Sandbanks, but owners have remained keen to open a facility in the Christchurch area.
In an email to customers, Saltwater Sauna said: “We’re excited to announce that our new saunas at Avon Beach will be launching on Monday, October 14, with bookings now open on our website four weeks in advance.”
The company was granted planning permission for the new site earlier this year, permitting the demolition of six beach huts close to the Noisy Lobster restaurant to make space for the two saunas.
