A SCHOOL hosted a “hugely successful” open evening for prospective students and parents along with its hall of fame launch.
The Blandford School opened its doors on September 19 to highlight its “continued excellence” following its recent ‘good’ Ofsted report.
A spokesperson for the school said the open evening had an “exceptional turnout” and that the event was so well-attended that the year six presentation had standing room only.
They said: “This [Ofsted] recognition reaffirms the school’s commitment to delivering high-quality education while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
“Central to the school’s ethos is its unique selling point (USP): providing each student with the opportunity to follow their own path.
“Whether aspiring to careers in science, sports, public service, or the arts, The Blandford School equips its students with the tools and guidance to achieve their personal goals.”
During the event, visitors enjoyed interactive experiences across all departments, with student volunteers helping to showcase the school’s facilities.
Everyone was treated to refreshments and each visitor received a free pen as a memento.
Local business, Willows Coffee & More, also joined the open evening, offering refreshments in the school’s quad.
The Blandford School Hall of Fame was also launched to celebrate the achievements of former students.
It showcases inspiring stories of alumni who have excelled in fields such as global health strategy, education and professional rugby.
