RINGWOOD’S annual carnival returned with a bang for 2024 with an exciting array of floats and participants.
The carnival took place on Saturday, September 21 which included two large processions and an after party.
The fun-filled day also included music at Live on the Lawn, The Rockets Children Motorbike Stunt Team and The Grande Firework Display.
Thousands of residents and visitors flocked to the streets of the town to witness the popular event.
A collection of roaring motorcyclists led this year’s procession with costumes such as Gru and his minions, Batman, Superman and Spiderman.
A spokesperson for Ringwood Carnival shared on social media that Rampage Mas Band would be visiting for its first and only appearance.
“We are delighted to announce that international Rampage Mas Band will be joining us for a one and only appearance (being their last touring year and first time to Ringwood).
“This is going to be bright, loud, and you are going to know they're in town!”
Also taking part in the procession was the Forest Forge Theatre Company where youth theatre members showcased their upcoming show.
They said: “What a great afternoon in the September sunshine launching this years Christmas show, A Christmas Carol.
“Thank you to the wonderful Youth Theatre members who came along to help out, we had scrooges, carol singers and ghosts galore.
“A fantastic day as always and lovely to see so many smiling familiar faces.”
One visitor shared online that they have travelled from Kent for the past three years to watch Ringwood Carnival and that this year’s was their “absolute favourite carnival.”
Helping Older People New Forest also shared their thanks to the team of organisers of the carnival, saying they deserve a rest before planning next year’s anticipated event.
