A ROGUE swan caused havoc on a busy road.
East Dorset police officers were called to Verwood Road in Verwood on Wednesday morning, September 25 to help control the bird.
The officers were also helped by a wildlife rescue team and nearby vets from Three Legged Cross.
The police were first called at 12.46pm of the swan in the road, and it was reported be off the road at around 12.55pm.
A spokesman for East Dorset Police said: "East Dorset Neighbourhood officers would like to thank Mike from Wildlife Rescue and the veterinary staff from the Three Cross Veterinary Surgery for their assistance in the safe rescue of a rogue swan that was causing disruption on the fast moving Verwood Road earlier today.
"The swan is now in the safe hands of Mike and his team."
The spokesman added: "Where's Simon Pegg and Nick Frost when you need them?" in relation to the popular film Hot Fuzz.
