Parking charges are a turn-off for visitors to the town.
There have been recent articles in the media (Daily Express) about Bournemouth being run down with the loss of its flagship stores as well as the high cost of car parking.
I have to say in fairness the parking charges in Bournemouth are a disgrace and a real turn off for visitors.
Unless there's a special free event on like the air show it's poor value and adds a lot onto a holiday.
If hotels choose to impose a resort fee perhaps this should include free parking and hopefully the continued cheap bus fares and which ensure locals and visitors can see the best of Bournemouth and its surrounding beauty spots at a bargain price.
