THE Arnewood School in New Milton has been chosen out of hundreds of entrants to present Frozen the Musical.
Just 11 schools and sixth form colleges across the country were selected to put on Disney’s production - and the south-east region had the most applicants.
The United Kingdom of Frozen: Love is an Open Door Competition is run by Music Theatre International (MTI) and Disney Theatrical Group.
Winners receive stage rights, script and score materials, and support from partner organisations.
The application that captivated the judges and secured the school production for 2025 was made by head of expressive arts, Kirsten Watson.
She said: “They were so impressed with everything we said in the application and everything we do.
“We have a varied intake and want to champion inclusivity and ability to express ourselves.
“Having the opportunity to offer Frozen as our school production, and to promote its themes across our whole school community, will be incredible.
“We cannot wait to make the most of this unique opportunity to showcase, Frozen the Musical and build snowmen and memories with the whole community.”
The Arnewood School production is always a highlight of the school calendar. Out of a total of 1016 students, 109 of them took part in the last production, Our House.
