A CAMPERVAN worth £50,000 was found engulfed in flames in Poole.
Firefighters were alerted to an incident on Bloxworth Road at around 1am this morning (October 3).
Residents were seen trying to extinguish the fire using a garden hose.
The campervan is estimated to be worth £50,000.
The owner of the vehicle was devastated, he said: “That vehicle was worth everything to me.
"I just can’t believe people are getting away with this."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We were called at 2.03am to report of vehicle fire in Bloxworth Road in Poole.
“It is believed the fire was started deliberately. Enquiries are continuing. No arrests have been made.”
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “We were called to an incident at 1.50am this morning (3 October) to Bloxworth Road, Poole to reports of a van on fire.
“One crew from Westbourne attended where a single breathing apparatus wearer used one hose reel jet to extinguish. Our stop was at 2.20am. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.”
