THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:
DARREN MAXWELL MORGAN, 46 and of Richmond Hill Drive in Bournemouth, was found guilty of using a motor vehicle when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance in Charminster Road in Bournemouth. He was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months. He was also fined £180, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £72, and costs of £350 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
ELLIOTT OWEN, 22 and of Langside Avenue in Poole, admitted theft from a shop after stealing meat and Red Bull drinks worth approximately £126.75 from Co op in Kinson Road in Bournemouth on July 5. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
JAMIE JACKETT, 33 and of Glen Road in Boscombe, admitted failing to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders register by failing to notify the police of a change to his address within three days of the date of any change. He was handed a community order lasting until October 2, 2025. He was also fined £100 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114.
MICHAEL YATES, 19 and of Arne Avenue in Poole, admitted theft from the person of another after stealing fishing equipment to the value of £3,665 from a man in The Avenue in Poole on December 6, 2023. He admitted going equipped for burglary, namely having bolt croppers and a jemmy for use in the course of, or in connection with burglary, in Kipling Road in Poole on December 6, 2023. He was handed a community order lasting until April 2, 2026, with a requirement to complete 80 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £350 compensation, a victim surcharge of £114 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
SONJA NEALE, 43 and of Brantwood Road in Luton, admitted possession of a controlled drug of Class B, namely one tablet of codeine, possession of a controlled drug of Class C, namely Gabapentin, Zopiclone, Bromazolam and Diazepam, and two counts of possession of a controlled drug of Class A, namely Heroin and Cocaine, in Church Street in Dorchester on April 9, 2023. She was handed a community order lasting until October 2, 2025. She was also fined £50.
KARLA BAKER, 31 and of no fixed address, admitted driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit, namely Benzoylecgonine, in Safety Drive in Poole on October 20, 2023. She was disqualified from driving for 36 months. She was also fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £48 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
