RESIDENTS have put in “the most enquiries ever” to see a new seafront block of flats, an estate agent has said.
Luxury apartments at The Waterfront development in West Quay Marina, Poole is nearing completion after years of planning and development.
Alice Church, associate director of estate agent Savills, said the first residents should move into the first set of completed flats in March.
Builders are expected to fully complete the £69m project by London Land by next summer.
On a site visit by the Echo, Alice said: “The showroom is now ready to view, open from Tuesday to Saturday each week.
“This is the most enquiries we’ve ever had apart from the initial launch, people want to see what is here, which is really encouraging.
“The majority of apartments that have already been sold are the water-facing ones in block E, but there are still some courtyard-facing ones available.”
Builders continue to work hard to deliver on the 291 new one, two and three bedroom homes across five buildings – reaching up to 12 storeys tall.
Those living higher up will enjoy views of Upton Lake, Twin Sails Bridge, Holes Bay, Brownsea Island and Sandbanks.
Meanwhile, all future residents will have access to a landscaped communal courtyard with office pods and two furnished resident club lounges.
And the benefits aren’t just limited to future residents of The Waterfront: as part of a s106 agreement that came along with planning permission, the develop must build a pedestrian walkway along the waterfront.
“That means people can walk along the water and access shops, restaurants etc.,” Alice added.
Prices for the flats start at £275k for a one-bedroom apartment, rising to £1.1m for a three-bedroom penthouse.
A John Lewis-designed two-bedroom, two-bathroom showroom is now available to view by appointment with Savills.
Alice added: “We are excited to be opening the doors to the much anticipated show home at The Waterfront, which is bringing a vibrant new community to Poole.
“We are looking forward to showing prospective buyers the high specification and luxury finish on offer here.”
The high specification will include thermostatically controlled underfloor heating to all rooms, mechanical ventilation, LED lighting, video intercom and smart home ready appliances.
The kitchens will have Italian-made handle less contemporary kitchen cabinets, luxury composite stone polished countertops, with marble quartz in the penthouse apartments, and floor to ceiling tiling with porcelain large format floor tiles in the bathrooms.
There will also be a passenger lift from the under croft parking to all floors.
