A PENSIONER from Bournemouth has appeared in court over indecent image offences.
David Smith, 72, admitted two counts of making indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child.
Court records report the defendant made one Category A indecent image of a child, and one Category B indecent image of a child, in Bournemouth on August 24, 2023.
He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 7 for sentencing.
Smith, of Leybourne Avenue in Bournemouth, was handed 26-week prison sentence suspended for two years.
He was made subject to a sexual harm prevention order lasting seven years, and will be required register with the police during this time.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
