ALERTS have been issued for extreme weather for Dorset.
The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (TSRO) has warned isolated tornados could be coming to the area amid a severe weather warning.
The warning for gusty wins up to 55mph, 10mm in diameter hail, lighting and isolated tornadoes is in place until 3am on Wednesday, October 9.

A spokesperson for TSRO said: “An area of low pressure will move from the SW Approaches to the Midlands through this period.
“Showers and occasional thunderstorms will accompany it.
“Some of the heavier cores may bring hail to around 10mm diameter, perhaps 15mm in the south.
“Gusty winds to 50-55mph are also possible, as well as occasional CG lightning.”
While the overall tornado risk is low, high low-level relative humidity/low cloud bases, along with reasonable low-level shear, means that an isolated tornado or two is possible.
